What the badges, levels and glasses actually mean
Levels, achievements and glasses turn publishing consistency into a game. They never change the real numbers underneath.
Levels — the capsule next to a manager's name
That small pill reading "Sapling" or "Cultivator" is a level, earned from XP accumulated across every month the dashboard has data for. It's a long-run reputation, not a monthly reset — someone doesn't lose a level just because one month was quiet.
How XP is earned
Two things earn XP, both pulled straight from the checklist, nothing typed in by hand:
10 XP per piece published
Every platform tick that's marked TRUE for the month counts once, weighted the same way the sheet weights it (a Stories tick worth 5 earns 5× the XP of a single post).
25 XP per day in the longest streak
The longest run of fully-completed working days that month, multiplied by 25. Consistency is worth more per-piece than volume alone.
Achievements — the trophy row on each manager's card
Eight badges, each with a plain pass/fail condition. Locked ones show a padlock and, on hover, exactly how close they are.
Streaks
A day only counts toward a streak if every tracked platform for that channel was ticked that day — a 90% day still breaks it. Streaks only look at working days (Monday–Friday); a quiet weekend never breaks one, since weekend posting is calendar-driven, not a commitment. "Current streak" counts backward from the most recent closed working day; "longest streak" is the best run anywhere in the month.
The harvest glasses
Each glass fills toward that channel's or manager's full month target, not just what's happened so far — so a glass at 30% on day 5 isn't behind, it's on track. That's what the dashed pace line inside the glass marks: where the fill should be by today if things stay on schedule. Below the line and past that point in the month reads as behind pace; at or above it reads as on pace. Clear 100% of the month's target and every glass drains in a small celebration, then refills for whatever comes next.
Missed vs. due today vs. upcoming
A content slot only ever sits in one of these four states — nothing is called "missed" until its window has genuinely closed:
DoneTicked, whenever it happened.
MissedA working day strictly before today that was never ticked.
Due todayToday's remaining slots. Never counted as missed while today isn't over.
UpcomingWorking days later this month, not due yet.
Weekends are a fifth, separate bucket: optional extras, calendar-driven, never counted as missed either way.
Frequently asked
Why did my level not go up even though this month was great?
Levels track total XP across every month on record, so one strong month moves the bar but rarely crosses a whole threshold on its own. Check the "XP to next level" line on the manager card — it shows exactly how much further there is to go.
Why does the Editorial Plan page show different numbers than the checklist?
They're deliberately two different measurements. The checklist counts "was this platform touched today" — a yes/no tick. The Editorial Plan counts actual content types (a reel, a carousel, a story) agreed in Settings → Editorial rules. They're different units on purpose, and mixing them produces misleading numbers, which is why the dashboard never compares them directly.
Can the levels, XP formula or achievement thresholds be changed?
Yes, but not from Settings yet — they're defined in the codebase (js/core.js) rather than the admin panel, since changing them retroactively changes everyone's history. Ask for a specific change and it can be adjusted directly.
